Im having trouble with the thesis . What should i take into consideration? Your thesis should have to do with your reactions. The most basic formula for a general thesis statement is: X is true because A, B, and C. For a film review it would be more like: X-Movie is good/bad/etc. because A, B, C. Obviously you wouldn't phrase it exactly like that (there's no need to actually say the movie is good or bad, for example, you could say it is groundbreaking, classic, genre-bending, etc.), but it gives you the general idea. Now, as to what A, B, and C should include. consider things like the acting, plot, set design, directing, costume design, editing, story progression, cinematography, foreshadowing, character development, etc. Your review should also include a brief summary of the movie, but most of the paper should focus on your reactions to the movie. 3 Answers.
